Terms and conditions of training
I offer my services as a personal trainer to assist with improving your physical fitness. I am not a doctor or medical professional, and I do not offer services intended to diagnose, treat, manage or cure any disease, injury or medical condition of any kind. No information imparted while training, on this website, in associated social media profiles or other published or broadcast material is to be regarded as medical advice.
If you are receiving treatment for any medical condition or injury, please consult your GP and inform them that you plan to begin a programme of exercise before we begin your training.
You must inform me prior to training if you are suffering from or suspect you may be suffering from any injury, illness or condition with which exercise could potentially be a risk factor. If you have or suspect you may have Covid-19 or any other communicable disease, please do not attend your sessions until you are no longer infectious. We will reschedule your sessions when you have recovered.
I work to create a safe, supportive, inclusive and respectful environment for clients and for the people we share space with. I do not accept aggressive or distressing behaviour or hateful or discriminatory speech or actions. This includes but is not limited to comments based on anyone’s ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or level of physical fitness. Anyone engaging in behaviour of this nature may have their membership revoked and may be refused entrance to the facility in future.
Please respect the facilities and equipment during our training sessions. Anyone causing damage to equipment by reckless or deliberate misuse will be liable for the cost of replacement.
For your own safety, please listen to my instructions during our training sessions. If you are unsure about how to perform any exercise or activity, or how to use any piece of equipment, please tell me before attempting. If I provide you with exercises to perform outwith our sessions together, it is your responsibility to ensure that you perform them safely. If you are unsure about any exercise or activity, please inform me and I will be happy to help you perform them safely. Excepting the case of negligence, I cannot accept responsibility for injury occurring as a result of your training, or for loss, damage or destruction of property.
While I will attempt to accommodate unforeseen circumstances wherever possible, I ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule a training session. It may not be possible to reschedule your session otherwise. Regrettably, I cannot reschedule a session if a client fails to attend without prior notice.
Membership payments are taken monthly using the Stripe payment platform. You can cancel or change your membership tier at any time, however, if you give less than two weeks’ notice of your intent to cancel, your final payment will be taken as normal and your membership will end the following month. Please speak to me in confidence if you encounter unexpected financial difficulties as it may be possible to pause your membership rather than cancelling if this would be helpful to you.
